The beginning of the establishment of this school was in 1988 (Showa 63), when the founder of the Tokyo International Buddhist School, the abbot of Komyoji Temple, Ryumei Odo, advocated the "Sixteenth Calendar Achievement Movement". It seems that it started as a movement to lead a life based on Buddhism at the milestone of his life when he reached retirement age.
In addition, more than 35 years after the opening of the school, it has become an information dissemination base that widely conveys traditional Japan Buddhism to people around the world, and the current students are from their 20s to their 80s, and students of all ages are studying. "What is Buddhism?", "I want to study Buddhism", "I want to know the purpose of the house", and those who are interested in "Buddhism seems interesting". The next day, the Shinshu Takada sect head temple in Tsu City, Mie PrefectureSenshuji TempleI went to see it. I was able to listen to various stories about Shinshu from Mr. Maruyama, and I had a fun and useful time.
